Actually you’d be surprised. That TrenENDous score was on a sightread. I REALLY don’t like to play the same maps over and over and over again. It takes so much of the fun out of the game. I normally fluctuate between playing a few ranked maps for my session or playing a much longer set of unranked maps. I’m 42 years old and playing some of these ranked maps really takes it out of me, to the point where my session may only be 20 minutes long if I decide to go after a bunch of 9+ star maps. But I can play for an hour and a half if I’m just playing a bunch of fun E+ maps that aren’t ranked. Fun is MUCH more important to me than my rank. My rank is a product of just fucking around with ranked maps from time to time :)

Goddamn then your sightread is better than any score I’ve set so far lol. Yeah I feel that-I’m not quite as old as you but I have long covid so the speed maps are just a killer. Yea focusing on rank kinda sucks the fun out of it. I originally just wanted to be top 5k but got kinda obsessed with it and it definitely spoils the experience when you’re only thinking of scoring well. There’s a super fun unranked song I played recently, my favorite in a while, Forbidden Noise mapped by shrado if you wanna give it a go. It’s tech so not fast, prob ~6-7 stars

Yeah. It’s what beat games came up with for an official version of the slider notes that the mapping community has been using forever. They’re small enough that you can curve them for a slice that has a curve to it. You can also offset them from to back so you can force the player to swing a little slower if needed. They’re for tighter control over the mappers need to control the player.

Im on 1.29.1 with fully up to date mods. I’m staying on this version until all the mods that I enjoy are available in the latest version of the game. I have the latest installed too so I can play new packs and I just change the name of the install folder when I want to play a specific version. I don’t THINK I’m overriding environments, but I’ll check next time I play. MUST DIE! was one of my favorite producers once upon a time. Not going to lie. I have this album on vinyl lol. There’s some bangers on it. They have a STRONG breaking Benjamin vibe going on too I feel. Map more Sleep Token. That’s the first modern band I’ve fallen in love with in a LONG time. I just played your most recent Sleep Token map in this play session.

Ahhhhhh good ol' wall maps made in Mapping Extensions. I don't know much about making these kinds of maps, but I am curious as to if this would be much easier to make in Chroma / Noodle Extensions

Was i too early or too late? Based on what I know about the hitboxes, I've never seen anything like this. Any time someone posts a video like "why didn't I hit this block?!?" I can normally show them EXACTLY why. With this one I can't figure it out. My best guess is I'm too early.

@@selfblumpkin I was thinking maybe the angle at which you were positioned in but that wasn't the case. the game decided to ignore the frames when you were hitting the note

@@__MerchantIf that's the case, this is the first time that I've seen this happen in 5 years. I've seen a lot of "BuT i ThOuGhT i HiT tHiS bLoCk" videos on reddit and it's always super clear why the person didn't hit the block. I'm genuinely confused about this one. The game generally doesn't ignore frames. Otherwise the top players in the game would fucking quit lol. Imagine playing OV Sacrament and you're in the high 90's and the game just decides to ignore some frames and you lose your full combo. That right there would have me quitting the game.

@@Bytrius I didn't even know Darryl was doing anything right now. The last time I heard anything from the GlassJAw camp was the 20th anniversary tour (which I was at). I bought this really cool $200 Perspex case with EYEWTKAS, Worship & Tribute and a live album on vinyl. One is Magenta, one is Yellow and one is Cyan. I treasure it :). I've seen them dozens of times over the year. I actually found out about them right before Worship and Tribute came out. They were touring with The Deftones. It's a RARE occurrence where an opening band BLEW me away. I became obsessed with them. I'd LOVE to see a new GlassJAw album or even a new Head Automatica album. I just love that dude's voice. His scream will take paint off walls.
